Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Ballast website and interface (the "Interface"). By accepting them or using the Interface you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Interface.
1. What Ballast is
Ballast is a website that lets you interact with smart contracts deployed on the GIWA Sepolia test network: launching tokens on a bonding curve, trading them, and trading them in Uniswap v4 pools after graduation.
Ballast currently runs on a test network. Test-network ETH and tokens have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for anything.
Ballast is not an exchange, broker, custodian, bank or investment adviser. We never hold your funds or your keys; every action is a transaction you sign in your own wallet and that the smart contracts execute.
2. Eligibility
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and able to enter into a binding agreement.
You may not use the Interface if you are subject to sanctions, are located in a sanctioned country or region, or if using it is unlawful where you are. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax laws.
3. Your wallet and your transactions
You are solely responsible for your wallet, keys and the transactions you sign. Blockchain transactions are final: we cannot reverse, cancel or refund them.
Quotes shown in the Interface are estimates computed from on-chain data at the time you look; the result is decided by the contracts when your transaction is included.
4. Launching tokens
Anyone can launch a token. Ballast does not review, endorse or vouch for any token, its creator, its name, image or description.
If you launch a token you are responsible for its content. Do not impersonate people, brands or projects, infringe intellectual property, mislead buyers, or publish unlawful, hateful or sexual content involving minors.
We may hide any token or content from the Interface at our discretion. We cannot remove anything from the blockchain or from IPFS.
5. Fees
Launching and trading pay the fees shown in the Interface and enforced by the smart contracts: a launch fee, a trading fee on every trade, and, during a launch's first minute, a snipe tax for wallets without a Dojang Verified Address. Network gas fees are paid to the network, not to us.
6. No advice
Nothing on the Interface is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell anything. Do your own research.
7. Prohibited use
You agree not to: manipulate markets or wash trade; exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the Interface or contracts (report them instead); attack, overload or scrape the Interface in a way that degrades it; use the Interface for money laundering, fraud or any other unlawful purpose.
8. Risks
Using Ballast involves significant risks, described in the Risk Disclosures, which form part of these terms.
9. No warranties
The Interface and the smart contracts are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Interface will be available, error-free or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Ballast team is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of funds, tokens, profits or data arising from your use of the Interface or the smart contracts.
11. Changes
We may change these terms, the Interface or the service at any time. When a change matters, we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
